Anneloes Raes

Principal researcher

Anneloes Raes is a professor and the Head of the Department of Managing People in Organizations at IESE Business School, where she also holds the prestigious Puig Chair of Global Leadership Development. She earned her PhD in Organizational Behavior from Maastricht University and her Master’s degree in Psychology from Radboud University Nijmegen, both in the Netherlands. Before joining IESE, she was an Assistant Professor at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland and held visiting positions at UCLA’s Anderson School of Management and Harvard University. Professor Raes specializes in leadership, teamwork, and self-management, with a particular focus on top management team dynamics, and the way top management teams set the tone for the organization as a whole. Her research has been published in leading academic journals and recognized with several awards and grants. Her insights have also been featured in media outlets like the Financial Times and La Vanguardia. At IESE, Professor Raes teaches Leadership, Human Resource Management, and Teamwork to MBA students and executives. She also serves on the supervisory board of Rijk Zwaan, an international company in the agricultural sector.

Principal researcher

Sandra Sieber is a Professor in the Entrepreneurship Department at IESE Business School, where she specializes in digital transformation, business models, and organizational change. She joined IESE in 2000 and has held several leadership roles, including Full Professor in the Information Systems Department and Academic Director of the Global Executive MBA. From 2012 to 2014, Dr. Sieber served as Director of Academic Programs at IESE’s New York Center. Prior to joining IESE, she was an Associate Professor at the University Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona and was a Visiting Scholar at MIT’s Sloan School of Management. Dr. Sieber’s research focuses on how technological advances reshape business models and how organizations can adapt to build the capabilities necessary to remain competitive in the digital era. She explores how digital changes create new value propositions and transform industries such as education, media, healthcare, banking, and automotive. In addition to her research, Dr. Sieber teaches digital business, IT strategy, and innovation in MBA and Executive Education programs, working with global executives across Europe, the Americas, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. She has consulted for multinational companies like Oracle, BBVA, Telefónica, and Desigual, and serves as a Board Member of Creand Credit Andorrà. Her work has been published in leading journals and widely cited in media outlets such as Forbes, Financial Times, and CNN.

Catalina Enestrom

Catalina Enestrom

Catalina Eneström is a Postdoctoral Research Scholar in the department of Managing People at IESE Business School. She received her PhD in Experimental Psychology from McGill University in August 2023. Prior to her PhD, Catalina received her Bachelor of Commerce at McGill University, half of which was completed at the Universidad Torcuato Di Tella in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In addition, she has worked in consulting, sales, and marketing at international companies in various cities across Canada and in Argentina. Catalina’s research examines how relationship dynamics at home and at work influence people’s personal and professional spheres of life. As part of this research, she explores how interpersonal relationships with close partners or coworkers help people experience meaning in their work and in their lives. Relatedly, Catalina explores how unshared experiences undermine the benefits provided by interpersonal relationships, such as work-life balance. Catalina is an active member of the organizational behavior and social psychology research community, attending and presenting at international conferences such as those organized by the Academy of Management and the Society of Personality and Social Psychology.

Assisting Researcher

Martina Halbwachs is a Research Assistant in the department of Managing People at IESE Business School, working with Professor Anneloes Raes and Yih-Teen Lee. She holds a Master's degree in Cognitive Systems and Interactive Media from Universitat Pompeu Fabra, and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Vienna. Martina’s research interest lies in how innovative practices impact personal and professional development. In examining this area, she is particularly interested in how these advancements can transform organizational structures and enhance employee engagement and well-being. She has previously collaborated with international research institutes like the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC) and the Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT), working on projects that explore human-computer interaction in various practical contexts. In addition to her research, Martina has professional experience in HR, marketing and market research, giving her a diverse set of skills that complement her research focus.
